Every Day Should Be Employee Appreciation Day

March 4 was Employee Appreciation Day, but appreciating your employees doesn’t have to be a one-time thing. In fact, it should also be a regular thing! Showing your employees that you value them and the work they do is a big part of fostering positivity in the workplace. That’s why we challenge you to treat every work day like an employee appreciation day.

As we’ve said time and time again, you don’t have to go all out to show your employees you care. There’s a lot of truth behind the phrase, “it’s the little things.” Employers could organize a low-key happy hour after work or simply giving someone a commendation on that big report. It can be a simple as being kind and supportive to your boss or coworkers. Maybe you can help someone out on a big project or provide a coworker valuable insights on a situation you’ve faced before.

Though the official holiday may be over, today’s a great day to start (or continue) to appreciate the people you work with!
