November is finally here! And although Thanksgiving isn't until the end of the month, it’s never too early to be thankful! Because it sits right between Halloween and the December holiday season, Thanksgiving can easily be bypassed — and let’s face it — it can be hard to remember to be thankful year round.
Here are three easy-to-remember ways to be grateful throughout the month of November:
- Devote Quality Time to Your Family & Friends: Appreciate the special people in your life by spending time with them this month! Being present is one of the best ways you can show people you care about them. Make time for the important people in your life — whether it’s a simple phone call, a movie date or a grand gesture.
- Be Kind and Courteous to Service Industry Employees: Wait staff, baristas and cashiers sometimes have nightmare customers. Don’t be one of them. Instead, be a good customer. Understand that the work they’re doing can be physically and emotionally demanding. Engaging them in casual conversation or giving them a tip could be enough to brighten their day! And of course — always be sure to say, “Thank you!”
- Support Your Community Through by Volunteering: Supporting good causes in your community demonstrates that you recognize how fortunate you are, and that you want to share your time and talents with others. Plus, volunteering can be rewarding all round — helping others often in turn helps you. Don’t 4Get: There are plenty of choices right here in Tallahassee.
