When was the last time you completed a random act of recognition? We think there’s no better time than the present. Are you up to this month’s challenge?
How many times have you said thank you today? Could you start saying thank you with more enthusiasm or passion? Is there someone you always mean to say thank you to but never do? Maybe the cashier at the grocery store, your child’s teacher or the person who answered the phone when you called a local business have earned your gratitude.
This month, we challenge you to start saying thank you as much as you can! Be specific and say exactly what you are thanking them for. You can say it in person, send a text or email or write a note to show your appreciation. It does not matter how you say thank you, as long as you say it!
You may be asking yourself - why? Well, there are HUGE benefits!
For those doing the thanking, it can produce positive emotions and make you feel good! The person you are thanking will also feel better, appreciate being needed, feel more valued and show helpful behaviors toward others. You have the power to start a trend of thanking others!
