Behind the Scenes of Custom Awards for the Interior Design Society

Before an award is presented, there is a team making sure every name, logo, and detail is ready for that moment. At Awards4U in Tallahassee, we were proud to create personalized awards for the Interior Design Society (IDS) and its conference at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

The project gave our team the opportunity to help celebrate talented designers through awards made personal to their achievements. It also offered a chance to share something customers do not always get to see: the people and work behind the finished pieces.

Recognition that reflects the achievement

The finished award shown here features the Interior Design Society logo, the Designer of the Year title, the recipient’s name, award category, and year. Together, those details tell the story of a specific accomplishment and give its recipient something meaningful to display long after the conference.

Where personalized awards begin

Our work starts before the engraving equipment turns on. For the IDS order, our team reviewed the artwork and checked the wording, giving each layout the attention it needed before production. The design photo shows multiple award layouts on screen, each with its own recipient information.

That preparation matters when an event recognizes several people across different categories. A consistent design helps the awards feel like part of one celebration, while individual names and accomplishments keep each piece personal.

From engraving to the final polish

With the artwork prepared, the personalized designs moved into production. The photos capture laser engraving in progress, followed by hands-on finishing. You can see a team member carefully polishing an award, along with individually protected pieces gathered during the project.

Each stage contributes to the final presentation. The engraving carries the message, and the finishing work helps the completed award look ready for its moment in the spotlight. Behind that result are people taking care with someone else’s achievement.

Made personal by our Tallahassee team

Projects like this connect our Tallahassee small business with organizations and celebrations far beyond our hometown. We are grateful to the Interior Design Society for choosing Awards4U and trusting our team with a part of its Las Vegas conference.

Choosing a small business like ours supports skilled work, local jobs, and people who take pride in what they do. From reviewing the first layout to giving an award its final polish, our team understands that the finished piece represents a person worth recognizing.
